Donít Look Now, But ...

To the editor: In regard to the column by Dan McGraw on public transit in Arlington (ďHole in the Middle,Ē Dec. 7, 2005): I grew up in Arlington. If I was to see a bus drive by in my community, it just wouldnít be the same. Call me an elitist pig if you want, but to me, Arlington is a small town with many memories. There are so many neighborhoods, too, not just construction and traffic. You donít see buses going down Westcreek, do you? And for good reason. Please donít turn my hometown into a big city, which is what mass transit began doing in the early to mid-1900s.
