If the Taco Fits ...

To the editor: I called you to request an updated free listing in your publication, not to tell you that we had just rolled out a new menu, because we have not. That was four years ago. If you desired to try our fish taco (Chow, Baby, Aug. 11, 2004) that we were so “famous” for in the previous years, you needed to ask for a soft grilled fish taco, which is made of two hot white-corn tortillas, Serrano garlic mayo, seasoned grilled fish, Chihuahua cheese, lettuce, tomato, purple cabbage, and cilantro. The taco you received was fried, a lunch special, and a completely different recipe. The chicken enchiladas are the best-selling item on our menu and have been for five years. I am sorry that you did not enjoy them. I just did not think that we deserved such a description as “pitiful.”

You know, it’s hard enough to make a living in the saturated downtown Fort Worth market without your neighbors telling the public that our food is pitiful, because it is not. For accuracy’s sake, maybe you should stand at the door of Cabo Grande and take a survey and see if our guests agree. Thanks for the local support and the benefit of the doubt.

Joey Milan
